Rating system sends the information in background so it can be placed in any page type (html, php, asp, shtml, etc). To add more fields in the comments script you have to modify comments.php and comments_html.php, you will need a php coder for that, I am not a php developer and I cannot give you more detailed answer for that, sorry.

hi-couple of other questions: if i want to buy the star rating script - will it work with .htm files too or do I have to rename pages to .php Also how do I add a field if I want user to add their own website?

It can only affect (not screw up) the search engines if you want to change all your pages from .html to .php and use .htaccess for this , or something similar to this, otherwise I cannot see a situation where it affects search engines, in that one case search engines will recache your site after a while.

Yes, you just need to add the correct line in the htaccess file, some server might need a different line than the 3-4 samples we provide, your host can give you the exact .htaccess line if you want to put php code inside the HTML pages.

I have existing webpages that are.htm - so by just amending the htaccess file - I don't have to change anything? just post the code and it will do it?
