Talitha, you can only add the "Rating System" separately next to comments, most users used this method, if you like to have ratings in each post then you or a PHP developer needs to modify the script.

Is there a way to maybe add ranking capability? (Like 5/5 stars for example)

Umar, the colors and style is editable by it's CSS file, the other things can be changed by editing settings.php or editing the scripts, you are not technically blocked in any way form modifying the scripts.
