It's actually a fun little game. I've had it for a week now. The real problem for me though isn't the animation--it's that some of the missions are pretty straightforward, like having to simply outmaneuver the 'Con's to get to "point X". The level offers no secondary strategies. There's really only one way--or rather one path-- to do it, and you have to figure that out for yourself.
The attack strength based on damage also seems unbalanced--I had Trypticon down to next to nothing, but every single attack only registered 5 hp while he's still firing back 40 hp at a time, and yet Metroplex takes significantly more damage in an attack, even from guys like Rumble and Frenzy.
Also, while I get the purpose of Metroplex and Trypticon being the "build centers" to call in reinforcements, for staying somewhat true to the original storylines in the levels, these guys didn't show up until at least the movie. Still, it's cool having them there.
All in all, I think it's a respectable effort, and definitely a treat for us G1 loyalists. Especially because they use the real transformation noise

Why are all the captchas now impossible to read by HUMANS?
